Creating Coral Health’s brand to symbolize protection and empowerment for all through thoughtful design.
In 2021, culture was critical to the health and well-being of the social climate. As the executive creative director, I led a team to develop a comprehensive brand identity for Coral Health, focusing on the protection and inclusivity that coral symbolizes in the sea. During our engagement process, we crafted a brand system that highlights how Coral Health safeguards the health of a diverse workforce. We introduced new tools and programs to enhance engagement between employees and healthcare. At the heart of our brand system is Coral Display, a bespoke display typeface inspired by the fluid curves and organic angles of coral shapes found in the sea. This typeface evokes the safe and welcoming environment that Coral Health provides and serves as a foundation for functional icons used across our brand assets. Our goal was to create a visually engaging and inclusive experience that empowers diverse workforces, supports their well-being, and enables them to better engage with healthcare. Through thoughtful design and strategic implementation, we successfully developed a brand identity that embodies the protective and nurturing qualities of coral, resonating with employees from all backgrounds.
